Ryan Gosling is bringing his Kenergy to the 2023 Gotham Awards.
The Gotham Film and Media Institute announced this year's nominees on Oct. 24, and the actor secured a spot on the list in the Outstanding Supporting Performance category for his role as Ken in Barbie.
In fact, Ryan will be up against a familiar face in his ex and Notebook costar Rachel McAdams, who is also in the running for the award for her performance in Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Joining the duo in the category are The Taste of Things' Juliette Binoche, Ferrari's Penélope Cruz, They Cloned Tyrone's Jamie Foxx, All of Us Strangers' Claire Foy, BlackBerry's Glenn Howerton, The Zone of Interest's Sandra Hüller, May December's Charles Melton and The Holdovers' Da'Vine Joy Randolph.
The nominations for the 33rd annual Gotham Awards recognize 20 feature films, 11 series and 30 performances across the 10 categories. And while fans will have to wait until next month to find out the winners, the institute has revealed three movies that will receive special tributes.
Maestro, for instance, will take home the Gotham Cultural Icon and Creator Tribute—with the late composer Leonard Bernstein, whom the movie is centered on, and director and star Bradley Cooper being honored. In addition, Ben Affleck's Air will be given The Gotham Visionary Icon and Creator Tribute, and Rustin—which is produced by Barack and Michelle Obama's company Higher Ground and stars Colman Domingo as late civil rights activist Bayard Rustin—will receive The Gotham Cultural Icon and Creator Tribute for Social Justice.
The 2023 Gotham Awards ceremony will be held in New York on Nov. 27. Until then, take a look at the full list of nominees.
